Anatomy of a Heart

Gunpowder seeking flame, you are the quiet

Witness of my silent musings — I am dependent

On your speed

.

Your two heavy

Wings cannot fly, but I

Will take you to the

Highest heights with my thoughts

Of youth and fantasy

.

Blood, oxygen,

And too much of nothing — stubbornly, you beat

Despite my pessimism. Your

Invincibility breaks for smiles; you’re weak

When approached by my fears. If I let

You fall, you will break

.
.
.

Shards of me

Will hurt people like a broken glass of

Red wine. You want to stain

Someone’s life with your

Mesmerizing

Colored love

.
