Kaleidoscopes

Down my throat

The ignorance of your sweet words.

Would you want me if you knew

The true colors of this horizon? Lines

Of gold,

And shades of rose, she says…

.

I stare at the grayness

Fading away — darker shades

Bring the night… She

Doesn’t know that our kaleidoscopes are different… Her eyes

Can’t see like mine

.

Down my throat

The ignorance of your innocence —

She reads my verses, and she

Sees words of beauty, but I’m

Just staring at the grayness in front

Of me

.

Don’t make me

Lose my mind for your

Colorful heart, I say… Half

Lying to myself

.
